August 2025 – Looking back at Northern Horse Park

During the Obon holiday last summer, my family and I visited “Northern Horse Park” in Tomakomai City.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time surrounded by horses and vast, lush greenery.

Even for Hokkaido, the August sun was quite strong that day.

However, the white walls of the stables and the vibrant purple verbenas blooming in the garden created such a refreshing and cool atmosphere for the eyes.

As I glanced at the park’s garden,I noticed a striking black figure with a powerful presence.

It was a Peacock Swallowtail (I think!), fluttering gracefully from one purple flower to another.

Holding my breath so as not to startle it, I captured the moment with my camera.

I was completely mesmerized by the strength of its wings as they unfurled, and the way they shimmered in a deep, beautiful blue depending on the light.

Looking back at this single photo brings all those memories back so vividly.

It might be a bit early, but I’m already looking forward to the arrival of another brilliant summer.

What kind of summer are you all waiting for?

That’s all for today🌸
I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow! 🌈
