As a new school term begins, I was at Seria (a popular 100-yen shop in Japan) picking up school supplies for my kids when something caught my eye: “Die-cut Magnets – Planets & Moons.”
I was honestly shocked by how detailed this set is!
It doesn’t just have the main planets; it includes major moons like the Moon, Ganymede, and Titan.
It even features a black hole, a galaxy, and a comet! 😮
What impressed me most was how they handled Pluto.
Even though Pluto is included as a magnet, the back of the package explains that it’s currently excluded from the “planet” category based on the International Astronomical Union’s definitions.
I found myself nodding along, thinking, “Wow, that’s high quality!”

When I brought it home, my eldest daughter—who has loved space and constellations since she was little—was immediately hooked.
She was having so much fun (and taking it quite seriously!) arranging them while reading the descriptions.

The Universe in the Palm of Your Hand
For only 110 yen (tax included), the quality is surprisingly realistic.
It’s like a puzzle that teaches kids how the solar system works.
It’s a perfect item to spark curiosity in children!
If you’re visiting Japan, these make fantastic, lightweight, and educational souvenirs.
If you see them at your local Seria, definitely pick them up!
By the way, I also bought the “Map of Japan” and “Map of the World” series.
I’ll try to review those soon too! (^^)/

That’s all for today 🌸
I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow! 🌈
