Hello everyone.
Today, I want to share a special photo from my memory.
This photo was taken in July 2020 at Utasutsu Beach in Furubira, Hokkaido.
At that time, Japan had just ended its first state of emergency in May.
However, many shops and facilities were still closed or had shorter hours.
Most people were still avoiding crowded places, and my family was the same.
We looked for quiet, open spaces where we could breathe and let the children play.
That’s how we found this beach.
There was nobody there—just the sound of the waves and my child’s laughter.
Looking back at this photo, I remember the mixed feelings of that summer—the anxiety of the pandemic, but also the precious, quiet moments we spent together as a family.
